If you are a practitioner of hyperbaric medicine, at any level, the UHMS is your professional medical society. If you are not yet a member of the UHMS, you are missing a huge opportunity for professional development.
The Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) is recognized as the global authority for scientific and medical information pertaining to undersea and hyperbaric medicine. The UHMS is the only organization on the planet that is recognized as the authority on determining which indications are approved for the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. What does that mean for you? As a hyperbaric practitioner of undersea and/or hyperbaric medicine, the entire scope of your practice, on a daily basis, is influenced by the UHMS. Why wouldn’t you want to be a part of the organization that influences your day-to-day practice?
As a member, you have access to accredited CME/CEU seminars and workshops that are designed to inform you of the most up-to-date, cutting edge science and clinical practices in wound care, undersea and hyperbaric medicine. Workshops and seminars are held regionally each year by way of Chapter Meetings and the Annual Scientific Meeting. Chapter meetings give members in neighboring states the opportunity to network with colleagues and local leaders in the field to discuss topics of interest to members in their region. The Annual Scientific Meeting gathers the world’s leading scientists and researchers who present and discuss research studies and advancements in the disciplines of wound care, undersea and hyperbaric medicine. Membership in the UHMS is open to any practitioner of wound care, undersea and hyperbaric medicine. The Society is made up of CHT’s, nurses, and physicians, military personnel, and divers. UHMS is an international, nonprofit membership association.
